is thinking about buying a 97 gst it looks good on the body and the interior is pretty good too but the car is 8 thousand dollars! it has 146 thousand miles on it BUT the guys at the dealer told him they just put in a brand new jdm engine so he asked me to post it on here to see if you guys thought it was a good deal or not they told him they just put the new jdm engine in about 2 weeks ago he also wanted to know if since they put a new engine would it not be turbo? and if it would change the performance of the car for example higher or less horsepower please let me know because he and i have no clue if its worth it. thanks guys

yea way too much for a gst, its worth like 3500 maybe 4 in my opinion....i could see 8g's for a GSX....clean, withsome mods

 

With that kind of mileage your bound to have other problems in the future, maybe the near futuredepending on how well the car was maintained. Is it a 5 speed or an auto? Either way its a lot of wear and tear on the clutch or tranny. How is the suspension? Has it been modded? How hard did the previous owner drive it? These are all serious questions you need to ask before dropping 8 grand for a ten year old car with high mileage. I completely agree with Sebba.
