I am considering buying the N1 exhaust system for my 98 gst...i just wanted to know if it is leagal and can pass emissions.

 

Cat back maybe. If you go catless than no.

And it all depends on the police around you weather you get in trouble some will bust your ***** most wont. I have no cat full 3 inch all the way back from the turbo and have not even been looked at by a cop cause I drive normal most of the time.

 

Yeah it does depend on what the cops are like.I have a 3" back w/ no cat tsudo exhaust on my car. I just got a ticket for not having the stock exhaust on my eclipse the other day. The cop said it wasn't the noise that was the problem and I wasn' t speeding he said it's just not the stock muffler. Talk about BS I'm so tick at FHP they suck. The worst thing is while writing me the ticket a tiberon zooms by and he had a aftermarket exhaust that was loud. I said why don't you get that guy and the cop said well his looks normal it's just loud bc it's dual exaust. I didn't know that a v6 tiberon stock exhaust is louder than a camero ss.
