I'm looking to run more boost out of my stock turbo. i already have an electronic boost controller; what are some good upgraded fuel pump applications for a '97 gs-t?

What kind of mods have you done already, but you won't need to do any thing with fuel till you get a larger turbo

what boost are you running? you can hit 15lbs with no fuel upgrades but you may want to add just a bigger fuel pump if you are around 16psi just to be safe, you will need it further down the road anyway. if you go with a 190lph pump you can just bolt it right in, if you go with a 255 it will be better once you have a larger turbo an run high boost but you will need a fpr too. you dont need to turn the boost up past 16 on a stock turbo anyway it just becomes innefficient an blows hot air and the boost drops down to 14-15 by redline.

You shouldn't need any fuel upgrades with the stock turbo

if you run 17lbs on a stock turbo with no fuel upgrades on 91 octane (highest you can get in california) you can blow your head gasket, and you can do damage. whos done it? me. also with no fuel upgrades as soon as you get close to 15lbs you need to be cautious, even if your injectors are a little clogged you can do some damage. just because its a stock turbo doesnt mean your engine is safe...

Yeah even using the stock turbo and turing the boost up more than 1 or 2 psi is very stupid, the turbos that come stock are not very good you can over work them very easily.
