Its not hated, its a great BOV, just not for these cars.

Greddy Type RS is a good one : )

I love the HKS valve it is just not a good part for these cars unless you run high boost like over 25PSI and run speed dencity which they dont come with stock and is very costly so it causes problems with your ECU and AFR's and robs you HP, spool time, and drive ability.

The one I would recommend over the greddy stuff is Forge BOVs they are great for high or low HP\boost levels. I personally like the Forge RS

Bov will leak at 12, replace that and you can crank it up to 16-17, change the fuel pump and run 18-19, get an EVO III 16g,660cc injectors and SAFC II and you can run 23ish. Stock internals can handle a MAX of 25 and a max of 400whp

keep in mind these are ball park figures and some things require some other supporting mods to run Boost levels 18 and up

Things that are needed to run 16-18 are:

Intake
Exhaust
MBC
Boost Gauge
190lph fuel pump
BOV

To run more:

660cc Injectors (recomended Denso)
ACT 2600 clutch w/ a street disc
Apexi SAFC II
Wideband o2 gauge
EVO III 16g turbo
Decent FMIC (Not eBay)

Am i missing anything?

It is also recomended that before you start modding heavily that you make sure you have no fluid leaks of any kind, your compression numbers are good, you change your plugs and wires, and your timing belt has been changed within the last 60k miles.
