alright guys im sure a few of you probably remember a while back i was having trouble with my talon not getting fuel or spark and we pretty much all narrowed it down to the ecu...ive replaced the crank and cam position sensors and ive replaced the asd relay...well i had a guy interested in the car and he came out and brought the ecu off of his gs eclipse and still wont start...the fuel rail would spit a little fuel out and then that was about it...any ideas cuz man im seriously lost here...

maybe he intentionally brought a bad one so he can get the car cheaper
i once bought a car for $100 because it didnt run and he couldnt figure it out, i hooked the coil wire back on and drove it home

 

its the ecu, 99 % sure, the exact same thing happened to my car...and when you buy one, get it from chrysler, its cheaper

 

what are the odds it could be a wiring problem...like mabe i have a power wire grounding out on a ground somewhere b/c they wore a spot out of the plastic covering on the wire...its gotta be the ecu or a wiring problem b/c ive done everythiing else it could possibly be...

well this is exactly what happened to mine, i bought the car and it had a idle problem, then i drove the car for about 2 weeks and then the check engine and the battery light come on..then it would start cutting out and the battery and the check engine light would go on and go off when it would cut out, and then one morning and i let it run for about 2 minutes, it cut out like 3 times, and just died..well i thought i was the coil pack, changed it, nothing, then i put a brand new ecu from chyrsler on it ($404.00) i think..and it started right up, no check engine light or battery light, its been running good ever since..just something for you to think about
