ODB2 data port

Default ODB2 data port

canany1 post a pic of a ODB2 data port in a 96 eclipse rs or tell me the exact location of it so i can hook up a multimeter

Get in your car....put your feet down like you're driving (don't press the gas pedal)...and feel around your right knee, under the dash (where it's opened up) and the center kick panel. It's a black rectangular plug that faces down and has nothing plugged into it.
Next I'm going to have to suggest getting a manual. I'm not flaming you, I'm just telling you now. If you think that a manual is too expensive, wait until you start looking for a new ECU because you fried yours somehow by fiddling with the ODB port. I hope you know what you're doing down there.

wat do u mean ?can i really frie my ecu by inserting a mutilmeter to get some codes out

It's not a likely thing but it can happen, just trying to get you to be careful down there. Get a pinout of the port online so you know which ones which.
You can also take your car to autozone and have them pull the code for free, in case you didn't know that.
