yea i am wanting to sell it i am going to put new rodbering in the i will take 3k for it but i live in al so u would have to come and get it
A rod bearing to fix the knock? That's just plain silly... You'll pay probably clos to the 3K you're asking just to get the work done and it probably won't even be a rod bearing problom. It sounds to me like you may have a bent rod but then again it could be any number of problems since I have NO idea what the circumstances are that started the knocking rod...

what about how long he is running the motor with the knock...the whole thing is trashed prob by now. Based on so of the idiotic things he has said already id bet he still drives the car around if it even hold enough compression

1st off: it was a rod bearing. I took the oil pan off and there were little metal chips all in the bottom of it.
2nd: You can make a SOHC 1.6L civic run 13's with around a grand. Oh yea, that's so much ****ing money alright. Go to TurboD16.com and check out some of their ****. Look at their videos. I've got one on my computer right now of a stock 1.6L VTEC whooping a GST with mods. All the civic has is a homemade turbo kit pushing 10 psi. Bottom line is, it doesn't take much at all to make honda's run 14's and 13's. Do your homework. And by the way, VTEC stands for Variable Timing and Lift Electronically Controlled. I know what the **** it means. Anyway, have fun with your Mitsubishi's while Im running the same time on a 1.6L SOHC with just a simple homemadeturbo lol.
3rd: I stopped driving it as soon as I could get home to check it out. Haven't driven it since then *******.

O.K. fine I understand that a rod bearing is shot. NOW think about it a second einstien. 1 rod bearing goes. Allows play in 1 rod. That little bit of play throws off weight and power destribution/redirection. Now you've unevenly work 3 OTHER bearings if not done damage elsewhere. That's the immediate problem now like ANYTHING that runs mechanically OR electrically there was a ROOT problem for the bearing going. WHAT was the root problem? Fix that THEN fix the bearing and things WON'T go wrong a few months down the line. I mean seriously. Besides that just because there were metal chips in your oil pan doesn't mean jack. Have you bothered taking ID and OD readings on ANYTHING? What about the camshafts? Perhaps the chips could be from them? Maybe a rocker shat itself? Perhaps a valve spring snapped... C'mon dude think about it. There are LITERALLY hundreds of places those shavings could come from. Maybe a wristpin is starting to shear. Seriously it'll need a complete teardown and rebuild. "And now I'm going to have to have the mad scientist tear the block apart and see what OTHER damage you've done... You're lucky you didn't blow the welds on the intake." (Anyone here actually get that??)...

Lmao you will be at 1 get with a good intercooler and turbo alone. not to mention the manafold IC pipes bov and so on. I dont give a **** what your crappy website said it will take more than a grand to turbo that car i have friends that bought used turbo kits that cost mroe than that becuse the **** isnt cheep besides teh fact with a grand a gsx/gst would beat that POS vtec honda.

When you get your POS civic single cam turbod come talk to me ill still smoke your car. I have raced single cam turbod civics and I smoke them every time without out a launch by at least 4 car lengths. YOur just a stupid as skid like every other kid I ever grew up with who knows nothing about cars and thinks hondas are fast. it isnt going to take only $1000 to run 10PSI a turbo kit that you make and fab is still going to be more ...I have done it my self in the end I spent close to $3k on it and I did all the work but then again alot of honda owners like to take short cuts and there cars prob. blow up (like yours) after a short amount of time. $1000 in a GSX or GST will have them running very fast times. my buddy bought his 1G GSX for $1500 and spent another $1500 in modds his car ran a 12.9 on a stock clutch go try that with you honda spent a total of $3k and see what you can do. you need to do your homework before you tell me a turbo kit only cost $1k. My car could swap a turbo setup straight from a Eclipe or EVO in and I did that with the EVO twin scroll 16G and manifold. the win scroll 16G and manifold alone cost me nearly $700 then you need fuel, engine management, clutch, IC, IC pipeing, gauges, and with just that stuff it will come out well over $1000 and to fit a turbo on a honda isnt as easy at least I could swap from another mitsu.

Have fun replaceing one bearing your head may even be trashed now too and your whole bottom end is shot if you see any metal shaveings on the bottom end then the motor is screwed.

Hondas can be fast but it take alot more than any GSX will ever take to run the same. Have a nice day and go be a post ***** on clubSi and whatever gay honda sites there are. one day youll regret becoming part of that crowd. go look on EVOm every EVO owner has had either a hand full of DSMs before or some sort of Honda and they all say it was a big mistake for buying a honda even the K20s they an be fast but the still suck. Id like to see one out dyno an EVO with the stock bottom end, I dont think that any of them can hold 500+WHP with the stock bottom end. Hondas suck *** bottom line I have never ever even come close to losing to a honda not once, Where are all the fast ones at?!?!? Ill give a fast one props if it beats me cause I know what it takes IT ISNT EASY the thing with hondas is parts are just easy to find that is it
