This is interesting...I mean, it makes sense you would gain more power, but that sure does seem like a lot...

The only reason why i would want a cut-out, is because i have a little smoke that comes out of my exhaust when i shift, and i would rather people not see that... =(

A little smoke in the morning and a bit when i shift? This is normal? I thought maybe it could be a head gasket or something...

The middle screw on my valve cover looks like it has oil coming out of it...(barely) But, you can tell...I think this would mean i need a new valve cover gasket...Could that cause the car to smoke? You can also see a little oil on the heat shield, which tells me oil has dripped down from the valve cover, you know?

Thanks for the vid sebba but a few things. One it was on practically stock exhaust without the cut out. two it doesnt tell us the boost level on the open pipe run. That being said it is easy to gain that much power going from a small restrictive exhaust to nothing. Its like dynoing stock exhaust then dynoing a turboback. Of course youll see big gains because the pressure is less there for it spools faster and boost gets raised up by ~3-4 PSI. Hell the supra just from a 4 inch catback compaired to stock catback jumped from 14-16PSI and made the difference between lossing by half a car to a C5 vette to beating him by 2 cars.

BTW Smoke on high RPM shifts is normal all turbo cars do that

Sebba did you really not read the first thing it says....think about it sebba....what is the first rule of exhaust.

YOU NEVER GO FROM LARGE PIPE TO SMALLER PIPE. It creates aweful restrictions. He says right in it that he is going from a 3" downpipe to a 2.5" stock exhuast system. You cannot even compare this to a complete 3" exhaust system w/ muffler. Because i guarentee you if he had a complete system it would be pretty damn close to the last run. He may only gain 10hp at most.

nice try though
