Default pistons

anyone know why you can't install pistons from the bottom of the block? Taking off the head seems like a lot of unnecessary work. Thanks guys

you need to take off the head because you have to hone the cylinders after removing the pistons

yeah i hear its a pain in the ***. I know the tranny is enough of a pain to get out. But if i were to change out the pistons I would replace the crank, rods, bearings, etc as well. This is just hypothetical of course. I'm broke.. I just always wondered by you couldn't/shouldn't put them in from the bottom
