ok so i havent had my eclipse in a while. my little bor did the head gasket and timing belt. now the car wont idel proporly. it starts out ok, but after a few revs it idels at 200 the dies. timing is perfect. is it possible that while fixing my car 1 ics went bad, 2 tps went out, 3 some other sensor is missing or not plugged in? any help would b great. i really want my car back havent had her in 5 months. thank you for any input

ok i was just reading on vfaq. not for the timing on the cams there are two marks on each cam one has a white mark on it and the other dosnt . on vfaq it looks like it shows one white and one regular mark put toghether. anybdoy have any picks on what it should look like

does it only die if you let it idle?? or will it die if you give it gas also?

ok here is what happens. i start the car up seams ok, i give it a few revs then it goes to about 200rpms then it fluctuats there where it wants to go but then it just dies/shuts off. could i have one of my cams off 180 deg. or would it not even run. and yes it is a 4g63

I have seen some pretty crazy motors run with timing off by ALOT! so I wouldn't doubt it. You can just take the top part of the timing belt cover off and look at the cams and see if they line up. If they don't then that is your problem, You also have to make sure it lines up with the timing mark on the crankshaft as well as the balence shaft if you have it.

i have it all apart so that i can make changes, i will lok at it but when i checked it a few days ago it was 100% dead on. im looking more to it as camshaft being the problem. you think my ics went bad
-not timing related i dont think everything is 100%, my only next step is to take it to a shop, which i dont want to do
