Default Please help engine wont crank!

I had a problem about a year ago with my car driving down the interstate and just dying. After searching and searching, I finally put it on a computer and found it was the crankshaft sensor. Pulled the timing belt cover and discovered the balance shaft belt had went. BTW before pulling anything off, it would turn over but seemed like it wasn't getting fuel or fire, found out that if there was an electrical problem like that, it wouldn't get fuel and cuts fire to the spark plugs, but it WOULD turn over and try to start. So I replace both timing belts and put it back together hoping i wouldn't have to pull the sensor. Tried it and it still wouldn't start but would turn over. I finally said screw it and ordered the stupid part and when it came in, pulled the old one off, come to find out it was broken. Replaced it put the battery back on and now it wont even crank. It sounds like the battery is low, but i have tried 3 different batteries, one of which I broke down and again said screw it (nice version) and bought a brand new battery. It wont turn over at all! WTF any input would be greatly appreciated.

Make sure that the car is correctly timed and that you have the position sensor installed correctly. Also how are the terminals on the battery. Any corrosion will cause issues like this

Sounds like timing. I've had two DSMs that behaved the same way. Both were timing. TE nailed it, check timing marks first, or all the money you spend on what else it 'could' be will be wasted. I just had my car re-timed at the dealership. It totalled $960. of coarse I didn't have any valvetrain damage which is very possible with a DOHC engine.

not having it timed will make it not turn over? The timing is supposed to be right on, the timing marks are aligned. It just will not turn over. It turned over before i pulled the sensor off, but now it will not turn over.

If you only touched that sensor and it won't budge, then guess what, there's your problem. If u took it out, make sure you didn't damage any pins and the sensor is plugged in all the way

It wont crank at all eh? Does it sound like the starter is trying to turn it over?

OK, did you check your bat cables? IF the sensor and battery are both new you could possibly have bad cables. IDK, weird.
