po446 CEL is on... what could be the cause?

 

Its ussually something simple like a bad vaccuum line. This has to do with the fuel evaporative system and the charcoal canister. Its either gonna be a bad sensor, clogged line or canister, bad harness to the sensors, or torn vacuum lines.

 

well ive checked my vacuum lines.. they all seem good... is the car bad to drive with this code on?

 

no you should be fine. Its more of an emmission control thing. You wont pass an inspection with it but its fine to drive

 

will it definitely not pass inspection? my inspection is up in early 2010... ive checked around online and ive seen it could either be my gas cap or a purge/vent solenoid? is the process of changing these solenoids difficult? thanks for the help i appreciate it
