Possible 6-bolt swap?

Possible 6-bolt swap?
I need to rebuild the engine on my '97 eclipse because of a ring issue. I have already called my mechanic to get a quote a while back and he said it would cost about $4500 for the rebuild. My question is, if I were to pull the engine myself, would I save enough money for it to be worth all the work on my part? My dad and I would be doing this together and collectively, I feel we have enough knowledge to do it right the first time.
I'm also considering a 6-bolt swap, but I would like to get this car running ASAP. For anyone who has successfully done a 6-bolt swap, how much does it cost to do? I know that would depend on the cost of the engine I buy, so how much would it cost to complete the job once I have already acquired the 6-bolt engine?
Keep in mind, I would like to build this car to eventually run an Evo III 16G turbo with all the supporting mods. So I'm thinking going with the 6-bolt initially would be best. What do you think?

RE: Possible 6-bolt swap?
Youd be fine just sticking with the engine you have. Your obviously already going to be replacing all the bearings, ect. so crankwalk wont be something you need to worry about.
Your definetly going to be saving alot of money by doing all the work yourself.

Yeah, that's what I thought. I wasn't going to pay for all that labor if I could do it myself haha
Are there any internal parts I should consider upgrading to handle the new turbo? I might as well get it all out of the way while I've got the motor out now. I'm doing the research now for everything I'm going to need to do. But any additional help would be appreciated
