Default push button switch 2wd/4wd???

First go to ebay and type in this item number to know what i am talking about 140197539322
now would it be possable with a 6 bolt swap and a lot of other modifications to make some type of pull/button system that will allow you to get the launch of awd and then in between shifts from 2nd to 3rd push the button/leaver to switch to fwd and then continue the race in fwd so you get the best of both worlds???

That would be a lot of work, I don't really think that it would be worth it. You would be carrying as much if not more weight than GSX and you can still have traction issues with fwd in 2nd gear with enough power. I know with a lot of cars you are not suppsed to switch 2wd to 4wd unless you are going under a certin speed and at a certin RPM, it could be different tho. But it would be unique

I dont think thats possible... Your gonna just have to pick what you want fwd or awd. Its not like 4wd switching from 2wd to 4wd on the fly.

And for you to use that trans and t/c its a lot of work to just switch it from 2wd to awd.

I agree with Dorian. BUT, even if could only be switched at low speeds, it would be great to save gas when the AWD was unneeded.

It added a period at the end of the link on my other post, it should look like this http://www.dsmregistry.com/detail.php?carid=206

I'm not sure what's up with my first post link, if you look at the link I fixed it, but when you hover your mouse over it and look at what address it points to it still says the wrong one.[&:] ???? Use the one I just posted here, it works.
