Rebuild? Port and Polish?

RE: Rebuild? Port and Polish?
Thanks guys. Appreciate it. I guess its time to change my timing belt.
But i got one more question. What happens if i dont? What happens to a car that doesn't change their timing belt at all? Will it just eventually break? Is that it?

RE: Rebuild? Port and Polish?
timing belt wears down and either snaps or the teeth skip. Then the timing is off in the cam gears and the valves end up hitting the top of pistons. Best case scenario youll have to rebuild the head with new valves. Worst case scenario youll have cracked pistons.

i know in the 2g nt they recommend that you do it every 60k... i'm going on 110k miles now without one and beginning to see a timing issue or 2... so i'm having mine done pretty soon along with my bottom end rebuild
