Default RPM Drop

I've been having some problems with my Eclipse. Everytime I brake or am stopped my RPM drops to less the .5 and somtimes it has even turned off on me. I have already changed the wires. But it still does the same crap. Maybe I need a new distributer. What do you guys think?[:'(]

I doubt you need a new distributor. Sounds to me like it might be an adjustment. Does it idle low in park? Does the engine surge or hunt (Rev up and down up and down never at a happy medium when in park). Have you checked your plugs? Wires area good start but check the plugs as well. And if you have a distributor did you check the inside of the cap and the rotor?
