short throw install

RE: short throw install
getting upgraded cams is really a waste of money. Id say just save your money for one of two things. Turbo charging the RS, or buying a turbo car. Also from the mach v site, i believe that all you need is the engine gasket set. All the other stuff that comes in the complete engine rebuild like pistons you dont need. So if your hell bent on rebuilding the engine then just get the gasket set. And also your gonna need to have someone do this for you if you dont know how, so thats not cheap labor.
Now on the subject of the antifreeze, do you have any white smoke coming out of the exhaust. Also check the bottom of your oil cap for alot of white crud. Just to make sure you dont have a bad head gasket.

yes I do have some white smoke come out from the exhaust but not all the time. there is no white stuff around the oil cap. so doing a engine rebuild kit wont do much for it as far as hp? what about an engine rebuild and addin a turbo? but i heard adding a turbo means i have to change pulleys and what not a lot more often?

RE: short throw install
honestly i wouldnt turbo the car. Your better off just saving the money on that. But for making the car more reliable i think just the gasket kit would be enough, you dont need the entire engine rebuild kit. And engine rebuild is more for reliability. Now and engine build up is a totally different thing. Which has to do with upgrading stuff, like cams, pistons rods, valve springs, ect. But this to me is useless in your car. It would be a waste of money. Put it this way, unless you plan on spending around 3-4k to make your car fast then just stick to the bolt ons like intake and exhaust. Anything else would be a waste. But rebuilding an engine is never a waste cuz essentially your putting the miles on the engine back to square one. But before you start wasting money on stuff i urge you to do a compression test because then youll know if you even really need a rebuild or if you have any leaks.
