i would just go to a speedo shop and have them calibrate it and trouble shoot the problem, i did that after i got my new sensor in.

Theres no way he actually has small enough wheels to throw it off that far. He actually would have to have 8 inch wheels to double the speed.
Sounds like a sensor malfunction.
..or both wheel and sensor combo. If the wheels are too small, they could have worn out the sensor?

does anyone have a pic of what the speed sensor looks like, also if theres more than 1, I was looking on ebay, and there was someone selling speeds sensors 1 an input speed sensor and output speed sensor, I was under the impression that there was only 1, wtf....anyways your reply would be greatly appreciated.............

You should be able to see your speed sensor without taking anything off. Its on top of the tranny kinda underneath the battery. And why bother buying the sensor offline, especially from ebay. Its not worth the time waiting and the worry that it could be the wrong part. Just go to autozone or something and buy one from them.

i think there are two speed sensors one in the engine and one on the tranny.

Either a sensor malfunction or it's not plugged in all the way? Depends on if it's electric or mechanical. Either way that's a good place to start. Until then just keep dividing whatever your speedo says by 2 and you'll be good to go lol

The 2Gs have an electric sensor and the 1Gs have a mechanical sensor.
