Default Help Idles Too FAST!

Hi i've got a Montero sport LS 98 model recently started idling too fast. When I start it with the engine cold, it idles @ 17000 RPM's. As it warms-up, the RPM's gradually climb with the temperature to 1900 RPM's. Has anyone had this problem ?, or have any knowledge or ideas to cause of it. I'd sure like to hear from you. Regards [8D]

Not sure if you have one... but some have a BISS screw on the throttly body that controls idle.

You should not need to adjust the idle on your montero. If it is unable to control the idle speed, it is probably your Idle Air Control motor. (IAC). It is a thing that sticks out on the side of the throttle body with 9-pin? plug connected to it. Search for IAC or ISC on the internet. You can purchase rebuilt ones.
