I have a 95 eclipse rs with 196,000 miles. I bought this car recently. It will start first try when it cold but if I run to the store and the motor is still warm it does not want to start it turns over but does not start. I either have to wait for it to cool down or try starting about 10 times to get it started. There is no check engine light and the water temp never gets high even on long runs. I think it may be ECU but not sure......

 

my sons is doing basically the same thing rather we drive it like we stole it or just putter around, when it gets to operating temp it dies just like you shut the key off, so we are going to replace the coilpack and see if that fixes it. ill let you know if it does or not.

 

put on the msd coilpack from autozone and fixed the problem. about 77 bucks.
