stock cd player malfunction
Does anyone know how to unscrew a stock messed up cd player in my 96 mitsu eclipse gst ? This is the problem, i put a cd in today to play it, plyed fine, then went to take the cd out and all i heard was the cd player tring to spit it out, but it did not happen. Before I took it out for replacement, just wanted to ask around to see if there is a way to manually get the cd out.

RE: stock cd player malfunction
I think it's time for a new cd player. I'm going to do the same. I have a 98 eclipse and I have a lousy tape deck in it. I'm not going to go all out on a system in the past, but maybe a $200 Kenwood CD/MP3 player deck sounds nice. Trash your stock one.

i had the same problem, you should be able to pull down on the opening where the cd goes in and it should spit it out just fine, the problem is when the player gets old things have settled just a little and the piece that raises the cd to spit it out doesnt come up far enough.......
