Default Stutters

Just recently my car(420a) has been stuttering, is what im calling it, when im at a dead stop pressing on the gas. First i noticed it when i would turn at a stop sign it would do it for like a second then be fine. After that I was in the drive through waiting and like every now and then it would do it like it was missing (in gear). If i put it in neutral it would shack like a rough idle but it is very minute. Now if im at a dead stop at a stop sign, if I press the gas too fast it "stutters" for only a second and then when i get rolling its fine. It almost seems like its something fuel related but im not sure. Got any ideas?

Its got 99k on the motor and i havent changed plugs or none of that yet so Im hoping its just a bad plug.

Just please dont tell me its a head gasket going bad

Either head gasket or the plugs. In the heat we have had like literally 10 people with your exact problem in the past week.

it sounds like bad plugs to me, or wires.

Well thankfully it was just the spark plugs. I changed them tonight and the one by the oil fill must have been the one doing it. The top where the wire clips to was like someone diped it tar from oil gettind down there. I dont know how it even ran on that thing. Im relieved it wasn't head gasket or something serious.

This may be a dumb question but...seems like now its got a lil more low end power...Could the plugs have done this or is it just my imagination????????? crawls out of the hole a lil quicker now....but its still crawls...key word

TheEngineer FTW [sm=happy046.gif] Yes the spark plugs will take alot of power awya when they have gone bad. I would keep an eye on them though becuase if start to burn out fast again then you have some other type of problem.
