dont know why, but for whatever reason i had it in my brain that the stock compresion in the 420a was 8.8:1. . . HA HA joke's on me. i was readin my chilton manual yesterday, reading up on how to set the timing and came across the fun fact that the stock compression is 9.6:1! as if my car isn't slow enough now, it's gonna be even slower when i get my block in. i guess that's just more motivation to get my turbo on even quicker!

 

yea the compression has to be higher for NA. 8.8 is closer to the gst compression which i think was like 8.0

 

i would have loved to find some 8.0:1 compression pistons or even 8.5:1 but i couldn't find anything less than 8.8:1, oh well. gotta start lookin for a head to work over now.
