Default transmission ?s

Hi, I am new to this forum and new to mitusbishis. I own a 96 gst and the tranny has gone and needs to be replaced. I was hoping somebody might be able to help me find info on how to uninstall and install the tranny myself. I was also wondering the difference between the turbo and non-turbo trannys since the turbo trannys are hard to find and quite expensive compared to a non-turbo. I know the ratios are somewhat different but what would be the negative effects of putting a nonturbo one in? any help is greatly apprecitated. thanks.

4g63 tranny(turbo) has a different bellhousing then the 420a(non turbo) tranny. I will not work no matter how hard you try.

ok thanks, I kinda figured it wouldnt.

I actually got a service manual to help me with the uninstall. Its really a pain. So far I got both axles out, and I am going to try to finish it tomorrow. I was hoping somebody could help me find a replacement tranny. Not one local junk yard has one. And all the ones online are in the area of $1500. Otherwise I just plan to replace whatever broke on the original.
