Default Tuning w/o wideband

Ok, I had an SAFC installed on my vehicle. I am running 650 inj. I am not installing my wideband right now, but I need to get my car running. Can I still tune the car fairly well just off the SAFC w/o the wideband. I read in some threads that it is doable. But I wanted to ask what problems I might run into if any.

Thanks

I wouldnt do it, you could risk your motor. If thats worth it to you then go for it. Id rather take the safe route and do it the right way

yea you really need a wideband otherwise you have no idea what the tune is doing. What are your mods because road race engineering has a couple a decent "startup" tunes for the safc.

why not just install it. It shouldnt take very long, unless your just waiting to have a bung welded or someone. I mean with a pocket logger you could do it as well, but you really need a wideband. But here is a couple of maps from RRE

after looking at that second map that they have, im not so sure i would go that agressive without a wideband because those are someone pretty big Air sensor reductions to be doing.

With a logger Yes, they also prob have one other thing in place. an EGT gauge. In the older Turbo days they only tuned by EGTs so it is possible but no a days AFR is key and why not do it right and not pay for it big timelater
