turbo intake upgrade effecting BOV performance???

Default turbo intake upgrade effecting BOV performance???

hello i recently bought a 95 gst with a big 16g, tial external wastegate, greddy BOV, ??? manual boost controller. everything else is the stock engine. it runs and is tuned great. anyway it had the stock turbo intake with a k&n air filter. now with that intake set up the BOV would "chirp" really loud. I installed an injen turbo intake with injen air filter and now the BOV no longer "chirps" and the cars performance feels slightly downgraded. im very ignorant with tuning and diagnosing so bear with me as this may be a non issue. anyone know a reason for this? ive yet to switch intakes back to see if it returns to the way it was.

advice and opinions greatly appriciated

did you keep the dump hose going from the BOV to the intake on there. The dump Hose is the short black one seen in this picture

yes everthing is 100% hooked up right. iam positive on that. im starting to think its more in my head but the feel of the car just doesnt seem the same. im holding boost really well and the air is being vented out. what are the real odds its in my head simply because I miss the cool sound.

***driving earlier today and had the check engine light come on and im very unsure as to y. wasnt running any different than it has been/ no bad noises. the injen intake has been on for 3 or 4 days now so i dont think that would suddenly make it come on. o2 sensor?

other than whats been mentioned the only other noticable issue are a high idle (1200rpm) and some very noise belt screech on start up.

It was not in my head!!! lol Found out that the performance issues and check engine light were due to the TPS going bad and my fuel being cut. I looked up the fix how to fix it in my manual and it seems pretty simple. Would you recommend taking it to a shop or can an average knowledge guy like me handle it? I was quoted $290 to get it done and cna think of other things that money can be used for.

Just do it yourself, a tp sensor is a fairly simple job imo.

I had it scanned at a local shop.

Well a CEL code only tells you what the computer says. Just cuz a TPS code came up doesnt mean that its bad. It could just be sending a signal that its not reading the right ammount for some other reason. For instance if you throw an EGR code, that could mean a bad vacuum line, not necessarily the actual EGR.

Do you know what the P# was that they scanned.

dang um I dont have the actual code. Would I be able to call them and see about it? Like it might be saved into the thing of whatever? Or would they have to scan it again? I didnt even think to ask for it which is dumb I know but Im still learning with this stuff. Well, do you know any other possibilities before I go trying to fix things that might not even be wrong?

and I really appreciate the help Ive been getting Im learning as I go
