Default turbo lag...

i was just comparing the big28 and evo3's.... and was thinking... what is the difference in lag? i mean, i know the 28 can hit full boost like 500rpm's sooner... but what is the difference in lag times? cuz i realized if you are gonna be racing that is the difference... so would it be noticable... i mean if i shift and i am already at like 3500-4000rpm... what would the lag difference be between (full boost-shift-full boost)... cuz at that time both turbos would already be ready for full boost anyways. any input?

Lag really isnt a factor in either of those turbos. I think you are focusing on lag way too much. Its more about the power output. Youll find that 500rpms makes no difference. Just go with the one that will better suit your power goals and dont focus on the lag so much.
