Default weight to time

hey i was wondering...... i heard that every 200 pounds in ya car it shaves off a second of your time..... can anyone make a good estimate at the weight to time ratio??

yea, 200 lbs might take of a tenth or two tenths of a sec, but there is no way it could take whole second off........

its like if you have another passenger riding with you, put a 200 lbs. person in the car with you, make a run and then do one alone, that would give you a good idea of how much time that kinda weight reduction would give you, probly about 2 tenths of a second at the most.........

Also depends on where you take the weight from. Take away 200lbs in the rear from a rwd car and you've got a major problem with traction now. Did i just bring up some useless trivial point?
