So I installed my new UICP and 1g bov yesterday, but it is weird whenever the engine in just slightly reved it makes a weird squeeking noise (very similar to swueeky breaks) is that normal? it is almost like a whistle. Do i need to oil the bov or somthing?

good call, sounds like boost leak to myself also... not that i'm insulting youor anything but it's not a loose belt is it? (always gotta check the most common sense things first lol) if not, i'd build/use/buy a boost leak tester. check all your cupplers and have a friend rev it to where it's squeeling and see if you can pinpoint it.

 

that is a normal sound. If it is almost a humming noise, yes that is perfectly normal for the 1g BOV's to do that. I had one and my 2g and used to have fun trying to see how long i can keep the noise going

i always hear it out of mine, on a free rev when the engine has vaccum the BOV will open and let some air out and something with the design of them makes it whistle a little.

as long as you put a gasket on it you should be fine.
you might want to check for boost leaks just to be safe. any leaking gaskets will squeal or buzz somtimes.
