what to upgrade???????
ok so i have a 95 gst... i bought it just to drive around... something quick and fun... but cheap..
so i picked up the car 2 years ago, it was stock with 85k miles.. i bought it for $4500... so i rebuilt the motor 3 months ago.. i had i built by a good machine shop in temecula millenium motor sports.. road race uses them.. so its def good work.. i have exhaust turbo back 3in down pipe then 2.5in the rest. intake, hks bov, exedy clutch, new breaks, etc,.. but i think my trubo is blowin oil.. its a 95 with 100k miles on it.. or could it be the oil line the old one had a hole in it so i replaced it.. could it be there is to much oil goin into the turbo.. it smokes alot when i shift and when i slow down.. sooo??? what could it be?????
and if it is the turbo should i rebuild it or go bigger??? how much would it cost to go bigger??? but the one thing is i wana sell the car.. i keep spending money on it..

What color is the smoke? Check you intercooler piping if you think the turbo has a blown seal. If it does have a blown seal, you will see oil sludge and "new" oil up and down the piping. That's what can be causing the smokey exhaust...if it's white. If you see black puffs of smoke, you're running rich. Are you venting your bov to atmosphere?
If you do have a blown seal, since you're just going to sell it, rebuild the turbo. A new turbo goes anywhere from $500 on up....a rebuild kit is about $80-ish. Here's a place to look if you're interested.. http://www.gpopshop.com/garrettt2kits.html

So, you just have a blown seal. Rebuilding a turbo isn't all that hard. I've taken an older S16G apart, put it back together, torn it apart again, and put it back together in a matter of a few minutes. The last time putting it back together was the toughest because my hand was tired of squeazing my pliers to get the circlip to compress, lol. So replacing internal parts...I'd give you an hour to rebuild the turbo with that kit in that previous post.
I forgot to address the black smoke...that means you're running rich. Oil would be blue. So where is the oil going? Maybe you're running so rich that it overwhelms the blue smoke?
You need to recirc your bov...that's why you run rich while switching gears and decelerating. Do you have a cat converter? If you're blowing out really thick black smoke and you don't have a cat...there's why it's so black. If you do have a cat, then you could have a bad cat.
Along with recirc'ing your bov, check your PCV and put a filter on the breather tube to help keep oil out of the intake..aside from the turbo that is.

Off topic...
In your sig, remove all that other stuff and just put this code in..
..that way, you can have your sig in there. But you'll need to shrink it a bit also..it's too big.
