The only way to compleatly elminate it is to get an externial wastegate. That requires drilling the stock manifold(i dont reccomend) and welding on a flange, then recirculating it. The externial wastegate is a tricky thing. IF you use the stock manifold the exaust is going to favor the turbo, you will get a quick spool but no a solid boost setting, where if you get an aftermarket one(some) favor the WG which is going to give you a positive boost pressure but creat a bit of turbo lag. But from what I understand the evoIII has boost creep, where the s16g dosent. I dont know why.

not too sure, It may help a bit but because the exaust can leave the turbo quicker and keep it from overboosting but I am not sure it it will totally solve the problem.

i talked to a local turbo shop and they told me that getting a bigger flapper will eliminate it also

Ok So i'm going to replace my head gasket and piston rings timing belt, water pump and tenioners. What are some good brands to look for. i heard top line isnt to good. I only plan on boosting to 14 or 15lbs. Also while im in there i heard of the balance shaft removal kit. What does it do how much hp will it add and how much work does it take for it to work. Like do I ned t do more then buy the $49 kit. Finally what are some other upgrades that I can do while Im doing the head gasket and stuff?
