Default will a FMIC help?

I cut the plastic stuff that was behind my SMIC off and it seems like i have more power.
I was thinking about putting in a FMIC because it seems like having my incomming air just a little cooler helps.
yes i have the stock turbo but i really think it would help. OPINIONS PLZ?

cutting will be necessary. and if youre just gonna run your stock turbo, dont go too big on the intercooler, or piping, or else youll lose some power

For those that are lazy skip to the end...

well if you want to get a fmic then get one, your taking ambient air and cooling it before it enters the motor so yes it will make a difference. In your case I dont think its going to make all that much of a difference not because of the stock turbo but because your running the stock psi level. Your smic is matched up to give you cool enough charge but when you increase the boost levels the stock tends to get heat soaked failry fast. I would recomend slow boy racings fmic, its cheap, fits nice, and does the job. If I am not mistaken it goes for something like 850.

Nut shell: yes it helps, even better if you want to do more upgrades.

Totally agree with Slow. Its worth it but i would get the FMIC with a 16g turbo or something. Running it at 15psi youl love it
