Will not start after motor swap
Hello everyone, new here and new to Mitsubishi. I bought my son a 1998 Eclipse GST 2.0 turbo. It had a blown motor (broken piston rod) I purchased a used motor and installed it (swapped over a few parts from old motor) The motor now cranks over but will not fire up and start. I have all new timing components in it, new water pump, new crank sensor, new coolant sensor, I have pulse from injectors, a have sparks and pulse coil coils and spark. I put a new fuel filter in it and I have fuel in fuel rail. Exhaust is not clogged, every now and then I'll get a little back fire from it. I scanned the computer so I can read the computer so ecm is fine That's why I replaced the crank and coolant sensors there were codes in the system. Checked Cam sensor good. New spark plugs (NGK) Checked timing 3-4 times to make sure its set up properly. Not sure where to attack next. Any suggestions would be great. Thanks

Is fuel actually making it's way into the cylinders when you crank it?
Did you check the air filter/air intake and make sure it's not blocked?
So you are for sure getting spark?
It's probably not timing if you checked that several times.
Did you check anything in the exhaust or just assume it's not clogged because of the occasional backfire?
Did you do a compression test?
