Default car not moving after start

Dear All

I have a Mitsubishi Outlander 2008 CVT model that I purchased 6 months ago. Today, suddenly, the car is not responding to the gas pedal while the engine starts alright and is racing if I press the pedal. I have used the Diaqueen CVT fluid for transmission oil 3 months ago - as specified in the manual, so, that is not likely to be the problem. Can this happen because of fault in the front axle shaft assembly or the problem in wheel hub assembly ? Any advice appreciated.

The problem is this is an imported car and the local dealers in Cairo do not have knowledge about this car...

thanks

Sounds like you have transmission problem.

Does the car move at all when put in gear?

Imported or not, a Mitsu OUtlander is the same where ever it was built.

Details? Does it change gear on the LCD? Does reverse work? Try putting it into manual shift and start in 2nd gear (not sure if the CVT has this, the 6 speed auto does).

Will it go in reverse?

Can you hear it "click" when you move the shift **** or could the linkage be disconnected somehow?
