every heard of the GSI Accent. They are real nice with just lowering springs. Those ones definately would be baught by enthusiasts if more were produced here. It comes with a body kit that makes the car look really really good but only if its lowered. My friend who just joined the form used to have one that was nice as ****.

Yeah that was me that had the 98 Accent hes talking about. But some of the info is a little incorrect. The accent that runs the 7.3 in the qtr mile, is running the 1.5l sohc with 60 psi. Its a beast. Actually in australia there is quite a few that run under 10 in the 1/4. My old tiburon, which I just traded in on a 05 elantra ran a 9.8 in the 1/8 with just an injen intake, short shifter and a little exhaust work. But in korea there is something like 600 tibs with over 700 whp on the beta 2.0.
This is pretty off topic and im actually a Hyundai enthusiast, but if you look back mitsu built all engines in hyundais up until 1995 so they have roots together. The 1993 to 95 elantra actually had the 4g63 naturally aspirated. Its funny i thought hyundai bashing was out since the late 90s considering they are the #1 most reliable car in consumer reports and numerous other magazines based on real statistics. I love the mitsus as well, and I think we share the fact that neither of us like Hondas. So whats the prob here. If i get a chance ill try to dig up some of those old videos for you of that accent.
By the way that car is a good deal and i think you should go for it

yea i have heard about how related the hyundai's are with the mitsubishi's. Like how you can rebuild a 2g to loose the crankwak issue by taking parts from a hyundai. But it did seem unbelievable to me that a NA accent ran a 7.3 But wait you said you ran a 9.8 sec 1/8 mile with the tib. That is very slow isn't it? I myself owned a riced tib [&o] sad to say with similiar mods. And i know how slow those are. Also i gotta see these vids.

I guess if you consider that slow. My tib was a 97 with a 2.0 N/A with just an intake and exhaust. that 1/8 mile with my 60 ft times and trap speed of 73mph is about equivalent to a 15.1 in the quarter. Besides if thats slow you have posted in the time slips section of times for the 3g eclipse gt running a 10.7 in the 1/8th or probably around a 16.7 or so in the 1/4, and i understand that that is a 6 cyl.
The GK Tiburon (new tiburon) with the delta v6 runs around a 15 flat in the 1/4 stock, but with just an intake and full exhaust on those cars they dip into the low 14s. Ive come across just about every car you can think of riced out as hell haha. Of course you guys with the DSMs have an advantage starting with a turbo and an ecu tuned for a turbo, a little more boost and some tuning and you get pretty big numbers. Well sorry for the not so great introduction but im a Hyundai and a Mitsu guy and hopefully I am welcome here.
By the way how do i post a vid on here? I need to find a host first?

i don't see how the tiburon would have run a 15.1 in the 1/4 mile with only exhaust and an intake, Cuz i had a catback and an intake on my 97 and it was nowhere near that, and my talon is rated to run a 15.1 stock and i know the difference in feeling between the two. I don't see just a downpipe and headers making the tiburon fast enough to keep up with a stock talon AWD. Forgive me for being a bit skeptical, it just doesn't make sense to me.

Well ive seen it done because we go to the track together. I saw his car run that and thats exactly what he had in the engine, nothing more. I ran a 10 flat in the 8th with my eclipse wich is a 2.0 420A engine that only had an exhaust pipe/headers with the cats still on and an intake.

Do you mean a TSI awd talon or a non turbo AWD talon?
