Well ive seen it done because we go to the track together. I saw his car run that and thats exactly what he had in the engine, nothing more. I ran a 10 flat in the 8th with my eclipse wich is a 2.0 420A engine that only had an exhaust pipe/headers with the cats still on and an intake.
That probably means its ran a 16 second quarter give or take.

i don't see how the tiburon would have run a 15.1 in the 1/4 mile with only exhaust and an intake, Cuz i had a catback and an intake on my 97 and it was nowhere near that, and my talon is rated to run a 15.1 stock and i know the difference in feeling between the two. I don't see just a downpipe and headers making the tiburon fast enough to keep up with a stock talon AWD. Forgive me for being a bit skeptical, it just doesn't make sense to me.
he is talking V6 tibby right? so that is where a 15.1 is possible

no he was talking about his 97 tiburon and said it runs about a 15.1 on bolt ons if i read it correctly. Also what is this guy talking about a non turbo AWD. The only way you would get that is if you took a non turbo car and converted it to AWD. They never made a stock N/A AWD talon

No he is refering to his 97 tib. There was no 6 cyl 97 tib. Its possible you guys just trust me and him ive seen it and he did it. Mine and his car usualy run that time so im confused on why it seems hard to believe. What do you see eclipse rs's and 97 tiburons run? It probably has a lot to do with the driver, more than you might think. We used to have walk-e-talkies and would driver around town spliting up and racing everything we could find and we did this for about 2 1/2 years straight almost every day. We have had a lot of driving experience. Its actually about to start up again once my car is ready to go. His new car which has a beta 2 i believe is already ready. Cant wait to start tearing up the town again.

97 tib FX(fastest tibbys then) ran like 16.3s stock...low 15s isnt happening unless I see a time slip or something I cant belive that no offense. just Theengineer had a 97 Tib FX and it was not even close it running under 16s and he had a few mods on it too

were not trying to rag on you guys its just that i know how a 15.1 sec car feels and i know thats not how my 97 tib felt when i sold it. The only difference in mods is that he has a header. And like i said, i don't think that would create a huge difference. I do believe that those cars can run those times. Just not on those mods. But if you do have pics or something then we can put this all to rest.
