Clos your kinda confusing yourself I think. The question really isnt is it worth changing from a 98 RS to a 95 GS-T for reliablity, its changing so that you can enjoy the same type of car that has more to offer. I mean i think your definately on the right track by wanting a GS-T. As far as it being a bad idea to go down (in years) its not a bad idea if you want a turbo engine. Now be prepared though. Dont expect things to just change to a faster eclipse. Expect to run into some problems and work. But dont exactly think of that as a bad thing, it will just get you more envolved in your engine and cars in general and make you wanna know more. Going from a non-turbo to a turbo is a good step to take regardless of the cars age(if the car is good condition). Im thinking this kinda answers that question for ya. Not sure man but hopefully it helps. Dont you want this showing in your front bumper?

if you are going to get a 97-99 just for the bumper i would buy the 95-96 and slap a aftermarket kit on it with the money you save.

Yeah. THey're not that expensive. The one you are talking about, Clos, sounds like a good buy. Keep us updated.
