Which year is better for the gsx?

like sebba said, a 99 would be your best bet... because it is newer you're more likely to see better paint, much less rust if any, lower mileage on the engine (even though a 6-bolt swap would be even better). If you're dealing with a car choice, and the only real question is what year? than i'd almost always go with a newer one... besides, even if you liked the 2gA better, all you'd really have to do is swap bumpers, headlights, and back-up lights to make it look identical...

There really isn't a "best" year. Obviously, the 99 year is a good choice because of the listed, but it can be a chore to find one.
As you can see preferrences for a 6 bolt from a 90-92, a 4 bolt rear with LSD from a 95 (+96?), and everyone suggests a good body with which all years can apply with that....
Those mods can be done later if you like.
Racer is correct, those years he listed is what you have to watch out for the crankwalk worries. You guys need to keep up
So OP, pick a year and start modding, it's inevitable it's going to happen.
