I bought the car a few days ago to tool around town in while my jeep is being repaired, and the CIL came on yesterday. I couldn't find my bt sensor, so took it to a local parts store to be read, came back as the IAC, which I knew about due to high idle in park, but also the exhaust control, which I'm told is to blame for the idle surging while coasting and braking. I'm not familiar with the engine components and layout yet, and can't find a how to video for this specific year and model. I downloaded the service manual, but it assumes a certain level of comfort with the car. I want to try cleaning both before I get them replaced, so I'd be greatly appreciative if someone could give me a walk-through on this, and let me know what supplies and/or tools I will need.
