2000 eclipse won't stay running
So the problem I'm having is that every once and a while (usually if the car is accidentally stalled) it will all of the sudden seem like it's struggling for air. I can hear my intake trying to suck more air and I have to keep the engine revved to stay running. I took the filter off just to see if it was clogged but didn't help and that's about the extent of my mechanic skills. If I rev it up to about 4500 it will correct itself and then run perfect.

It was not with my current car but my last car was having the exact same problem. And i took it to 3 different mechanics and they all fixed something different and then charged me for it.. And after about a week i would find out that it never worked. I from the beginning thought it was my fuel filter. So one day replaced it and its been 3 months and i have not had the problem come back. Try replacing the fuel filter. It will save you from wasting ur time and money with a mechanic.
