From what I read, it seems most people feel the auto trans for the 3rd gen V6 is reliable.

Is it a Mitsu or a Chrysler or an Aisin Warner or what?

I read folks suggested using the Chrysler fluid. That scares me a bit asChrsyler fwd trannies have been shakey historically

i belive chrysler and mitsu tranny's are the same, i dont know about the Aisin Warner though..

 

iknow about the chrysler trans sliping but i can't believe it do to the fluid. i would use it but thats just me.

 

and fords use the same or close to the same fluid.
