So I just got my 2003 Eclipse GT and the first thing i want to do is get an exhaust but the thing I dont wannt to do is get that stereo typical high school kid exhaust that sounds like a giant fart anyone have any advice on an exhaust would be great thanks!

 

well with the GT, even a can, wont sound like the high school ricer. i got a 2005 eclipse GT and im still going through college and just put a can on my car since it was cheap, and it sounds like a full race exhaust system (just not quite as loud) but you can also get a test pipe to replace the cat, i got one coming for mine from Megan Exhaust and it was 50. its not the real thing but its cheap. but any full exhaust system will have a deeper sound instead of the high pitch 4 banger sound.

 

i actually found headers for this car.... on ebay. everywhere i have called or looked for some said that they do not make them anymore for this car... ebay wass 97.00.. also magnaflo oval muffler really gives a great sound and performs great

 

You might have already got one at this point but I just wanted to say I have an 03 GT and I took months trying to decide what exhaust I wanted and I finally settled on a GReddy TI-C and I couldn't be happier! It sounds amazing and I get complements on it all the time! It's a deep grumble but it still sounds really tuned! I would recommend any one to get this! And it looks great too!
