Unhappy High Pitched Squealing

I went to start my car today and it kicked on but then it made a high pitched squeal and then died off. Its a 03 eclipse. I recently discovered that the radiator was cracked and ordered a new one. The squealing is really high pitched...

if somebody could tell me whats up. a friend of mine was telling me over the phone that it sounded like the timing belt.

squeeling is typically the serpintine belt. I would check the accessory belts first. I dont see how these type of belts though would affect the car, unless its your alternator belt and your battery is dead...just a thought

Default Squeeling belt

I don't believe it could be the timing belt since they have cogs which fit into the timing pulleys they run on. It is likely the belt that runs the alternator; either worn out or just needs to be tightened.
