I've had enough
Those of you who visit this page alot prob have seen all my posts about my eclipse sputtering and misfiring and whatnot in the last 3 weeks. Well,I've had enough. Its going too far. Ive had the car for 4 weeks, and 3 of them it has been in the shop on 2 different occasions, and STILL isn't fixed. First, they told me it needed a tune-up. Fine. Fixed the problem for 4 days, then started up again. Now they're telling me it needes a distributor, but that may not fix it either? What crap is this? And the car was sold from the dealer with an extended warranty which covers it anywhere I bring it....well nothing so far has been covered. all outta my pocket!!! I'm calling the used car lot that I bought it from on Monday and complaining that they should fix it for free or I'm returning it. If they refuse to fix it I'm filing a law suit. Plain and simple. I've had enough, had the car for 4 weeks and drove it for a total of 1 week.....bs!!! for 6800 bucks they should be willing to do something. I only took it to my mechanic because the warranty people said its covered anywhere, again, bs! I like the car but I don't like whats going on with these problems....I hope it doesn't come down to threatening them but I think I certainly have right to be upset and I practically fall into the "lemon law" area of complaining....well sorry to vent on u guys but Ive paid over a thousand dollars outta my pocket and I'm not pleased.....anyone have any specific info on what to threaten them with should they give me a problem about doing the repairs or anything???
[sm=insomnia.gif][sm=insomnia.gif][sm=insomnia.gif] WOW i feeel sorry for u. i agree talk to the dealers and figure out wut exactly the warranty covers. hope everything works out for u. if u do get rid of the eclipse i hope u go and get another one.
If you paid for a warranty, they need to honor the contract!
*Who are the warranty people and what exactly did they tell you about the locations?
*Does your copy of the warranty have this same information? Is this warranty associated with the dealer and did the dealer push or suggest this plan?
I am not sure the Lemon Law will solve this problem but I would definitlyset up an meeting with the dealership:
Make copies of everything and do not fudge anytime or cost
***Be nice and respectful, do not make anythreats.
*Make copies of all your receiptsand time spent without a car. If possible, have a Mitsubishi repair shop take an appraisal on what it would cost to repair.
* Make a respectful letter ( keep a copy ) and ask forretribution for you cost and the future cost of getting it repaired.
If the dealership ( warranty ) isn'tgoing to work with you, something that you will know within30 seconds of the meeting. I would go ahead an seeklegal action.
