Default Loud ticking

I know about the infamous valve tick and what not that these cars have and for some it goes away after the car is warmed up. In my case after several minutes of driving mine seems to get worse. You can hear it when you're driving, and when you're at a stop it's a real slow loud tick. I've heard of seafoam, i've heard of changing oil, and i've heard if it goes unchecked it will lead to the valve stems and other parts being damage. Also it doesn't seem like it's coming from the head sometimes it sounds like it's coming from the passenger side. Not sure what's going on but I'd like to get it fixed and hopefully inexpensively

Is the ticking proportional to the RPM of the car?

Where exactly from your passenger side like 4th cylinder or wheel well?

Yes the ticking is proportional to the RPM's i'm not sure where it's coming from i just know it's coming from the passenger side i can't quite locate it. It doesn't seem to be from the wheel well though

I had the same problem last week, it turned out to be one of my pullys that had to be changed. It drove me crazy, but if you dont get that fixed ASAP then u have a high chance of messing up your valves. HURRY!

Yeah one of the pulleys does whistle a little, i need to get that fixed but i am deploying in a month or so. So when i come back i'll probably get rid of the car for real cheap and go look for something new

i had that issue with my eclipse, i thought it was a ticking lifter on for the valves, but i brought it to a shop and it turned out to be the timing belt. At frist it would start out as just a ticking when it was cold, but the belt got worse and it got louder when the car was reved up or going down the road. i would look into it, either the belt could be bad or it could be a bad belt tensioner.

Default Lifter knock

2000 Mitsubishi eclipse v6 is there a way you can tighten down the lifters so the knocking goes away? Need some help before I take it apart?
