loud ticking !!
You know the sound you typically get when you need to change your oil / low on oil. Pretty sure its the lifters hitting in the block without lubrication from the oil. Well I check my oil about once every other day and my engine is ticking like crazy, but i have exactly as much oil in as i need. My car doesn't leak oil, doesn't appear to be buring oil. Any ideas what this could be or how to fix it?

Its called lifter tick, common in dsm's. do a search and you will find more info and methods of fixing/making it not so noticable.

I used to have it on my eclipse, didn't think it would be the same on my galant, oh well...
