Default Manual Transmission Slip?

Dont really know whats up with my car...the other day i raced my buddy...as i shifted into second gear it felt like the clutch just stuck..and rode all the way through 2nd gear...i pulled over and all i smelled was clutch...So i drove home...shifted fine and everything except for one big problem...every time id give it some gas to say pass anyone it would almost feel like the transmission was slipping..the rpms would rise then it would lower and start moving....So im thinking it could be my clutch that fried....Possibly my friction plate is so deterioted i cant grab...If anyone has any ideas let me know....I just bought a new Exedy stage 1 clutch today and installing it monday i hope. but if u think its something else please let me know

Most certainly...Normal driving shifting at normally 3.5k rpms....Never really abusive to the car..raced it maybe 3 times.. Never ride my clutch or sit with it engaged at a light or traffic always neutral it...Car has 104k on it. even when racing i shift at 4.5 to5k...

104K is a good time for it to go : )

How many miles were on the car when you had it?

Roughly what RPM to you start off at too?
