start with an intake. You can get a short ram pretty cheap. But stay away from ebay

i was looking and they were $350 for a cold air at my local parts source, on ebay i found cold air and short rams for 45-75$ i also found a T3 turbo kit for my car from ebay for $1300 which is a great deal as far as i know, i appreciate these suggestions alot, its really hard upgrading your car when you dont know alot about engines

First off what did i just say about ebay. The stuff on their is crap....especially the intake and turbos...unless they are totally name brand like aem or injen. But dont buy a turbo kit. Your getting way over your head on that one and from the sounds of it i wouldnt even bother thinking about it. Stick to bolt ons. As to where to get one. You can get a decent short ram from here that is AEM

and depending if you live in an area that gets alot of rain, i would just stick with the short ram and not the cold air.

oh and yes the so called "performance chip" is a scam

yea most performance chips are complete BS and anyone with a 3rd gen eclipse should stick with bolt on mods, such as new headers, cat-back systems, coilovers, intakes, throttle body's, strut bars, antisway bars, and an programmer to reprogram the cars governor from the generic dealership specs to your own performance tweaking, this is pricey and will take alotta time and effort but if you desire to badassify your car, you'd put forth the effort. and if you have the 3.0L 24valve V6 you may as well say forget the turbo, there is already hardly enough space in the engine to reach in and tighten the belts much less toss a turbocharger into the mix. Now if i were you i would purchase an AEM or injen brand cold air intake, yes more expensive than a short ram but it will deliver greater performance gains due to the denser cold air.

here's two of some very good websites to find anything you need from cosmetics to performance mods for your ride. Andysauto is probably my favorite their pricing is fair and they have a butt-ton of items.

no problem i respect your point of view, im speaking just from my personal experience and i haven't had issues so i can't speak for anyone else. but they have good products and a vast inventory which is beneficial. Plus you gotta be careful with imitation parts now-a-days, so knowing legit sites is always helpful.

just outta curiousity, what rims did you purchase?

My brother was the one who actually ordered the rims and they were for a honda prelude. I have no idea what kind they were.
