I had that same problem so i got that same piece and stiel had no sound so what i did was bought a normal conector.

and the other onr and hooked them both up and it was fine but mine didnt have a ground so i ground it out in the verry back on that metal plate.But mine isnt a dvd one

If you have the stock Infinity amp youre going to need to bypass it, provided that your TV setup has an onboard one... Even IF you could get the sound working it will sound like absolute hell if you try to run BOTH of those amps together.
PS- Im hoping that you already changed out your SPS... (Stock Paper Speakers)

I had one installed at Circuit City and it took them 2 days. They said something about rewiring an amp, actually in the end they bypassed the amp and the amp built in to my DVD/TV/CD combo was louder than the amp that is stock under the seat.
