2003 mitsubishi ecllipse spyder gts 3.0

Recent repairs: valve cover gaskets, spark plugs, maf sensor, and air filter.

Problem: after thiis job has been completed later that night I was experiencing major problems. At a cold start I would start the engine let it warm for a couple mins when I puut it in either reverse or drive it revs the engine up to about 1200 rpms then jumps into gear. Also as I'm driving it I will notice it revs up the engine as its about to enter the next gear. This problem goes away and rides smooth after 5 mins of driving. Checked trans fluid and level and that is perfect.

Any suggestions????

 

sounds like a possible vaccum line issue. Have you checked to make sure you hooked everything back in

 

I checked all the possible vaccum lines that I could see, checked all sensors to make sure they were plugged in properly, and changed all the small hoses around the engine just in case one of them were leaking.
